Ten projects from seventeen participants of the second season of the project The School of Leadership of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration were presented recently. This event traditionally takes place at the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. Anatolii Babichev, the deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, became the honorary head of the solemn event. He was the one who also addressed the greetings on behalf of Yulia Svitlychna, the Head of Kharkiv region. ‘The School of Leadership of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration is precisely the project that is capable of preparing initiative and creative workers for both government and public sector. It is the youth who passed the training will become the driving force that will change Kharkiv region and Ukraine for the better’, Anatolii Babichev said. Oleksii Kurtsev, the President of the non-governmental organization All-Ukrainian Student Fraternity the Elite of the Nation, also joined these words. He appealed to the participants and guests of the solemn protection of projects with gratitude for the dutiful work done. It was seventeen participants who were able to overcome all three rounds of about two hundred willing to take part in the project.

Only 40 ones were the ones who participated in the second stage. And less than a half of the participants of the School of Leadership successfully passed internships and developed their own project. Exactly during the internship at the Departments of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, the participants have got basic skills that enabled them to developing their own project on an independently selected topic. Medicine, tourism, as well as infrastructure development became the main areas of work. According to the participants themselves, for them it became a useful experience. ‘To prepare and to develop our own project was the last step on the path to victory, for this we got all the necessary theoretical and practical training’, Dmytro Yunashew, one of the winners of this season, says. Together with his team, he cares about medical topics. Therefore, they have developed a lecture course for the inhabitants of the region on how to be healthy. ‘The second season has become an indicator for us. In the autumn already, we are starting a new third season. It will be larger and more durable. For its participants, there is a competitive element. Speaking about the second season of the project The School of Leadership of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, it should be noted that we conducted a small experiment launching The School of Leadership of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration in the city of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region. The results outweighed our expectations. Schoolchildren liked the opportunity to benefit their hometown and they were actively involved in this project. Despite their young age, members of the Schoold of Leadership in Kupyansk offered a number of relevant ideas for implementation in their city. This is the integration of people with disabilities and the creation of a multimedia transport stop with a small library and even placement of teenagers from the age of twelve’, Oleksii Kurtsev, the President of the All-Ukrainian Student Fraternity The Elite of the Nation, said.

The winners and scholarship holders of the second season chonen by the pharmaceutical company Ananta were: Dmytro Yunashev, Hoang Thi Hueng Chang and Roman Ovchynka with the project Health for Everyone in the XXI Century; Vyacheslav Patkevich and Kyrylo Dergachenko with the project Sunflowers Glade; and Ihor Mehanchuk with the project ‘Road of the country’s security is the way to the future’.

Of course, it was impossible to implement such project without the support of partners. In the second season we were assisted by the information agency Status Quo, the hospitable hotel Kharkiv, the incredible team of lecturers and trainers, the Internet company Triolan.
